Terms of Service

Trimly is operated by Tim Manje, an individual rather than a company. General contact: kontakt@zerogov.lol.

By creating a workspace you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Trimly shortens links, serves the redirects, and reports on the resulting traffic. What each plan includes is set out on the pricing page and enforced by the software — the free plan allows 50 links and 1,000 tracked clicks per month.

Features may change or be withdrawn. Where a change removes something you rely on, account holders are notified by email at least 30 days beforehand. Fixes, security work and changes that add to the service may happen without notice.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done through your workspace. If you believe an account has been compromised, write to kontakt@zerogov.lol straight away.

You must give an accurate email address and keep it current: it is used for security notices you cannot opt out of. Two-factor authentication is available and recommended.

One person may not hold multiple free workspaces to work around the plan limits.

You may not use Trimly to shorten or distribute links to:

• malware, phishing pages, or anything built to deceive people into surrendering credentials, payments or personal data;
• content that is unlawful where it is served, or that infringes someone else's copyright, trade marks or privacy;
• material sexualising minors, or content promoting terrorism or mass violence;
• unsolicited bulk messaging, whether by email, SMS or messaging platform, and any scheme built on it;
• deceptive redirect chains — sending automated checkers and human visitors to different destinations, or disguising the destination to defeat a spam filter.

Adult content that is lawful and clearly marked is allowed. Cryptocurrency and gambling links are allowed where they are lawful for the audience they reach.

You may not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent plan limits, extract the click data of other workspaces, or resell Trimly as a competing link-shortening product.

Where a link breaches these terms it may be disabled. A link removed for abuse cannot be restored from within the workspace — that decision rests with the operator, and it is deliberate: otherwise a takedown could be undone by whoever caused it.

A first breach usually means the individual link is removed and you are told why. An account is suspended or closed for deliberate or repeated breaches, and immediately and without notice for malware, phishing or material sexualising minors, where any delay causes harm.

To contest a removal, reply to the notice you were sent, or write to kontakt@zerogov.lol. You will get a considered answer from a person within 14 days. Your other links keep working while a decision is under review, unless the account itself was suspended.

To report a link, write to missbrauch@zerogov.lol. Reports are acknowledged within 3 business days, and reports of phishing or malware are acted on as quickly as they can be verified.

The destinations you link to remain yours. You grant only the permission needed to run the service: to store the URL, serve the redirect, and generate the QR codes and previews the product provides. This permission ends when you delete the link.

You confirm you have the right to link to the destinations you submit and to use any custom domain you connect.

Prices are shown on the pricing page in US dollars. There is currently no checkout on the site: paid plans are arranged directly, and terms are agreed in writing before anything is charged.

[Once a payment provider is connected, this section needs the billing cycle, renewal and price-change notice, refund policy, what happens on non-payment, and the statutory cancellation rights owed to consumers where you operate].

The redirect engine is built to stay up and runs on more than one machine, but no uptime is guaranteed on the free or paid plans. Maintenance that requires downtime is announced in advance where it can be.

A guaranteed service level is available on Enterprise terms only, agreed separately in writing.

The service is provided as it is. No promise is made that it will be uninterrupted, that a shortened link will resolve at any particular moment, or that the analytics are complete — ad blockers, bot filtering and privacy tools all affect what can be counted.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — including the rights consumers hold regardless of what a contract says.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and does not extend to lost profits, lost business or lost data. On the free plan that amount is nothing, which is worth weighing before you rely on the service for something important.

You may close your workspace at any time from your settings. Doing so withdraws the workspaces you alone own, and your shortened links stop resolving immediately.

Consider what that means before you do it: links you have already shared — in print, in messages, in other people's posts — will stop working, and nobody who follows one will reach the destination. There is no grace period and no forwarding.

Your account record is anonymised on deletion rather than removed outright, so that click statistics stay coherent; what this involves is set out in the Privacy Policy.

The service may be discontinued entirely. Account holders would be given at least 90 days' notice by email, with an export of their links and click data.

These terms are governed by German law, and disputes fall to the courts having jurisdiction where the operator resides. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.

The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. I am neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

Any change is posted here with the date above updated. Account holders are notified by email at least 30 days before a material change takes effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting it. If you would rather not, close your workspace before it takes effect.
